A woman is hospitalized after being shot during an attempted carjacking near New Orleans’ Garden District early Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 6:41 a.m. in the 2800 block of Carondelet Street, where the victim reported that two masked men approached her while she was returning home and attempted to steal her vehicle.
During the struggle, one of the suspects fired a weapon, striking the woman before she managed to flee into her apartment. The New Orleans Police Department has not yet released details about her condition and is urging anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 to assist in their investigation.
