This proactive approach aims to reduce response times to potential gun-related threats and fortify safety protocols in collaboration with the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department.
Recognizing the ongoing challenges posed by gun violence, the district’s decision comes after the ZeroEyes Gun Violence Research Center analyzed 34 incidents within Illinois schools just this year. The innovative system integrates with existing security cameras, providing real-time alerts and crucial intelligence to law enforcement and school officials in as little as 3 to 5 seconds after a threat is detected, heightening the emergency response capability.
