A Myerstown musician faces charges after inadvertently bringing a loaded .380 caliber gun to the Lehigh Valley International Airport. Scheduled to perform on the secure side of the airport’s checkpoint, the man realized his firearm was still in his pocket only after placing his belongings on the conveyor belt for screening.
TSA officials emphasize that individuals entering the checkpoint must complete the screening process, even if they are not ticketed to fly. Gerardo Spero, TSA’s federal security director for Pennsylvania, reminds the public that responsible gun ownership includes being aware of where firearms are at all times, especially in sensitive areas like airports.
