Authorities apprehended the 36-year-old after he allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to an undercover officer posing as a 15-year-old girl, highlighting a troubling pattern of criminal behavior that has resurfaced following his brief freedom.
Prior to his recent release, Taake had been serving time for assaulting a police officer during the Capitol riot. Local authorities had requested that he remain in custody due to an outstanding warrant, but he was released after Trump’s pardon. The Harris County District Attorney has labeled Taake a “suspected child predator,” and he is expected to be transported to a Harris County jail as investigations continue into his previous actions at the Capitol and his new charges.
