NY Man Accused of Stealing 47 Guns and $200K in Cash

A New York man, Joshua Casiano, is accused of breaking into two Stamford storage facilities and stealing 47 handguns along with nearly $200,000 in cash. The alleged thefts occurred at Extra Space Storage and CubeSmart, where security footage reportedly shows Casiano using unique entry codes to access the units, later fleeing with duffel bags believed to be filled with the stolen items.

Casiano, 35, has been charged with first-degree larceny and multiple counts related to the theft. He has a significant criminal history in New York, tied to robbery and sexual abuse, which raises concerns given the nature of the stolen goods. With his bail set at $250,000, he is scheduled to appear in court on May 12, while authorities continue to seek an unidentified accomplice believed to have assisted him during the burglary.
