A 31-year-old man from Oakland has been found guilty of dealing firearms without a license, putting him at risk of significant prison time. Robert Davis was convicted after a jury heard evidence that he traveled to Texas to buy guns illegally at shows, then sold them for profit, predominantly using Instagram as his marketplace.
During a search of Davis’s residence in December 2021, authorities uncovered a loaded firearm and over 100 rounds of ammunition, highlighting the serious risks associated with his actions. With a prior felony conviction barring him from possessing firearms, Davis now awaits sentencing, which could result in up to 15 years behind bars combined for his various charges.
